I've been reading various journals - mostly in my chosen fandoms - for the last few years, but I've never felt the urge to create a journal since I've always been more of a reader/surfer/lurker, what have you. It's only been recently that I've wanted an account and an identity beyond 'anonymous' in order to respond to the journal entries of those I read. Especially since flaming has become the new black and a lot of the lj's I read have turned off anonymous comments for good reason. If I'm going to lambaste someone I'll do it with my own name attached and take whatever comes back at me. Anything else is pretty cowardly. Not that I've ever flamed. Or ever really even commented much over the years. But there have been times. Oh, have there been times, lol. Maybe now I will.
